Ball State Housing and Residence Life offers students the benefits that come from being close to classes and activities, living and learning with friends, making better grades, and getting involved on campus. Living on campus in the Residence Halls, you are surrounded by all of the cultural, social, and sporting events that make Ball State the campus that it is, and you can build a network of lifelong friends to share your memories with. The ten residence halls on campus are:
  • DeHority Complex
  • Elliott Hall
  • Johnson A Complex
  • Johnson B Complex
  • Kinghorn Hall
  • LaFollette Complex
  • Noyer Complex
  • Park Hall
  • Studebaker Complex
  • Woodworth Complex
As you can see with all of these options, there is a place for you. Some are co-ed, some are all-women, and some you have to be 21 and older to live in. But there is something unique and special about every dormitory.

Kinghorn Hall was built to LEED certification standards from the U.S Green Building Council. Johnson Hall is divided into two buildings; Johnson A and Johnson B. Both buildings house approximately 450 students each. However, Johnson A was recently demolished. All of the students that were living in this Residence Hall had to be moved to Studebaker East. Studebaker East was recently built to provide more room for students on campus. Stu East was also developed by the U.S Green Building Council. Many freshman are housed in LaFollette Complex. LaFollette is located near many things on campus, like the new Student Recreation and Wellness Facility. A lot of upperclassmen live in Studebaker West. Woodworth is located near several academic buildings, such as; Bracken Library and Emens Auditorium. Woodworth is the only all-women's dormitory on Ball State's campus. Park Hall is a co-ed dorm with returning upperclassmen. The newly renovated DeHority Complex opened in Fall 2009, home to the Honors Living-Learning Community. Elliott Hall is the only dorm you have to be 21 and older to live in.

There are a wide variety of options for students at Ball State and living on campus is something that is highly suggested. It is easy, fun and convenient.
